Community Involvement

The Bank’s Board of Directors and Management believe that individuals and corporations are responsible for finding ways to improve the communities in which they do business.  We pride ourselves in being a community bank, and this means being involved in the community.  It also means investing in the community.  The Bank’s shareholders have prospered by being part of the Hemet /San Jacinto community, and it is with great pride that we return part of our earnings back to the community.

Four things we feel extremely proud of:

Golden Deeds

  • 2010 Recipient of Book of Golden Deeds Awards - In December 2010, The Bank of Hemet was selected by the Hemet /San Jacinto Valley Exchange Club as the recipient of the 2010 Book of Golden Deeds Award as a tribute to the vital role it has played in ensuring an exceptional quality of life in our community through donating thousands of volunteer hours and financial contributions in the pursuit of supporting non-profit and community organizations.  **The Bank of Hemet is the first For-Profit Business to be recognized for this honor since the award's inception over forty years ago.

Hospice House

  • The funding of a Hospice House in Hemet
In February of 2008, The Bank of Hemet, in association with The Community Foundation, purchased a residence in Hemet that will eventually provide hospice care to patients.  The house will be donated to Hemet Hospice Volunteers, and will provide an alternative to hospitalization or institutionalization for people receiving hospice care, in a wonderful, home-like setting.

John McDonough Stadium

  • The John McDonough Stadium
In 2007 The Bank of Hemet worked with Hemet Unified School District in an effort to have Hemet High School's football stadium renamed.  The Bank asked that the stadium be named after its one-time president who contributed immensely to making Hemet a better place to work and live.  The structure is now called The John McDonough Stadium.  Thus far, Hemet Unified School District has received $80,000 in contributions from the Bank, and the Bank intends to work with the school district to make future contributions.
Bank of Hemet Employee Scholarship Program
  • Scholarship Program for the Children of our employees - 2010 marked the eighth year in which The Bank of Hemet has promoted education through a Children's Scholarship Program, offered to employees who have been with the Bank for at least one year.  This year twelve recipients were awarded with educational scholarships to various universities and colleges.  Since its inception, over $280,000 has been invested in the educational program.

The Bank of Hemet is proud to financially support the following organizations in our community, one which includes the Beaumont/Banning area, where our newest branch is located.

Community Partners
And many other contributions, sponsorships and partnerships supporting our communities.
